Mummy's Dead, Long Live Mummy!...in India!

What a beautiful, exhausting whirlwind! Mummy’s Dead, Long Live Mummy! by Koël Purie Rinchet has been a great force for good in my life…as well as many others, judging by the incredible comments received after the shows. From Delhi to Bangalore to Mumbai, audiences have connected to mothers being honest, heartfelt, and funny about the truth of this journey. Thank you to all of the audiences who have welcomed us to India, to the wonderful theatres where we’ve been fortunate enough to share Koël’s words, and, on a personal note, to the individuals who decided to come up to me after each show to share their own stories. I’m grateful for your kind words, for making me feel more at home in an unfamiliar place, and for strengthening my belief that yes, people want to hear women’s stories! I hope to see you all again (and if Koël, that fab force of nature herself has anything to say about it, we just might!).
